Organized by the Brazilian Concrete Institute – IBRACON, the Brazilian Conference on Concrete is considered Brazil’s largest technical forum for discussions involving concrete technology and construction techniques. This yearly event focuses on disclosing the latest information on academic research, technology and innovation on structural analysis and design, construction techniques, building materials and its properties, management and standardization, and other aspects involving the most used industrialized material in the world.
On its 54th edition, the Brazilian Conference on Concrete will take place in the city of Maceió, in the Brazilian state of Alagoas, in the Cultural and Exposition Center Ruth Cardoso, from October 08 to 11, 2012. This event will mark the 40 years of existence of the Brazilian Concrete Institute, a techno-scientific organization dedicated to the research, development, and spreading knowledge about concrete in both its material and structural aspects.
The Brazilian Conference on Concrete started out from a group of researchers that met every semester in the Technological Research Institute of São Paulo (IPT) to discuss issues such as permeability and durability of concrete. This conference now became the largest national forum for discussion and disclosure of information about concrete, open to all Brazilian and international professionals interested in enriching and updating their technical knowledge.
Researchers, students, entrepreneurs and any professionals from the construction industry are invited to participated in the 54th Brazilian Conference on Concrete, presenting their work, research and achievements involving concrete, its constitutive materials and construction techniques. Private companies, government agencies and institutions involved in concrete production are also invited to participate in this event, promoting their products and services in the VIII FEIBRACON – Brazilian Concrete and Construction Fair, as exhibitors or sponsors.
