"NEWS INFORMATION - UPDATE"

 

Due to the closure of papers submitting as well its review, on the basis of the results, it was verified that papers coming from South America (excluded Brazil) are only two. However, specifically in these cases, the authors speak fluent English. There are only more two other papers written in Spanish: one from Brazilian and authors can present it in Portuguese since simultaneous translation will be provided during the Conference; one other from East Europe and authors are able to convey in English (but they could have the help from a parallel translator if really necessary). Therefore, the organizing committee, in view of the arrangements for the auditorium and in view of historical frequency of only-Spanish speakers in the annual Brazilian Concrete Conference, decided, at the best, to provide only simultaneous translation from and into English and Portuguese. Sorry for inconvenience.

Please, everyone engaged in presenting papers as well as in attending the conference, should register for the BRAZILIAN CONCRETE CONFERENCE (http://www.ibracon.org.br/inscricao.asp). We remember the registration policy for authors: PUBLICATION OF SUBMITTED PAPERS IS CONTINENT UPON PREREGISTRATION OF EACH ACCEPTED PAPER BY AT LEAST ONE AUTHOR.

Therefore, we suggest the authors to complete the registration only after the acceptance of their papers. Moreover, we would like to remember that, we are performing a JOINT CONFERENCE of IBRACON-ISCP, and for overseas participants not associated to the Brazilian Concrete Institute but, however, regular members and in good stand with the 2011 International Society for Concrete Pavements annual membership (this situation will be checked by consulting ISCP), must choose the following option at the IBRACON registration page (last line to fulfill):

“53o. IBRACON (02) – INDIVIDUAL PARTNERS – Before October 17, 2011 – US$ 375.00”

If you are not an ISCP membership, please select the following registration category:

“53o. IBRACON (02) – NOT INDIVIDUAL PARTNERS – Before October 17, 2011 – US$ 450.00”

However, according to our schedule and registration police for authors aforementioned, please, authors shall register up to July 31, 2011, in order to help us to organize the proceeding brochures and DVD, as well as the final program organization.
